OUR STORY
Our goal and the vision for Brighter Lives BTL is to empower communities in reworked and reimagined ways. Since our founding in August 2020, we've been building projects that not only reflect our values but also will genuinely benefit the communities we wish to serve. BTL was idealized in South Florida and founded on principles taught at Howard University in Washington, DC.
Support and empowerment.
Opportunity through self-determination.
We believe that people are the answer and will forever be the answer. Black and Brown communities have rich histories and ever brighter futures. Our job is to make sure that the light shines brighter than it ever has before.
OUR MISSION & OBJECTIVES
Our main focus is to create a space for Black and Brown communities to dream and realize a future of our choosing. Our vision is to help these communities look inward and tap into the people, ideas, and innovations that will help them continue to shine strong.
Our objectives that we'll use to achieve our mission:
To create a safe environment in which individuals can explore creative and authentic opportunities
To facilitate the dismantling of systematic and institutionalized inequity of all communities
To encourage youth to become actively involved in their communities and communities around the world
To build a positive and effective platform for dialogue between different communities
